There are a few differences between how your coffee is roasted, and what kind of flavours they bring out!
Light roasts emphasize bright, fruity flavors. They can be described as juicy, or wine-like. These shine in pour overs or other filter brews.
- You might recognize tasting notes like stonefruit, plum, or florals
Medium roasts provide a balanced, smooth experience. A well rounded coffee that can be highlighted by most brew methods
- Often recognized for tasting notes like milk chocolate, nuts, or caramel.
Dark roasts deliver bold, robust notes, and in some cases a syrupy body. These really stand out in espressos, cold brews, and other immersion brew methods.
- These stand out with tasting notes like toasted nuts, smoke, and spices like cinnamon or cloves.
